I see it now – SABECKAPHORE

Listen to the recital:

A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends

...not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

I see it now

I’ve heard what was being said about me,
standing by the mirror in my room, I cried.
I was tired, embarrassed and ashamed –
people outlined my flaws!

Going down memory lane
reminded me of my true colours
and that my Father said:
“Let us form men in our own image!”
I was also mentioned amongst the creatures.

Now I remember that His
thoughts and ways
are higher than mine –
His plans are to prosper me!
As my Father is,
so am I –
a Rose of Sharon,
fearfully and wonderfully made –
a wonderful scent and aroma
to cheer up the mood.

No matter my flaws
I am a daughter of the King,
a princess to be exact!
In deep water, I have a way out,
prepared for me –
as a knight in shining armour
waiting to rescue a damsel in distress.

You remind me that all my scars
proof You have mended me;
transformed me from a clay pot of water
to a golden pot of honey.

Making me aware of
my valued worth –
for if it were not so;
He wouldn’t have
died for me –
God knows me
more than any other.
