My Dad
More than a father – He’s steady and true,
Not just by blood, but by all that He’ll do.
A mentor in silence, a teacher by grace.
A constant calm voice in life’s hurried race.
He fixes the broken, not just what you see –
He mends hearts with presence and quiet empathy.
He walks beside me, not always ahead;
sharing my journey with words left unsaid.
His eyes hold laughter, His patience runs deep.
He watches me stumble, then helps me to leap.
He never says love in a loud, showy way,
but His deeds gently echo it, day after day.
He’s a shelter in storms, a compass, a light.
He stands in my shadow to keep things all right.
More than a father – He’s part of my soul.
With Him in my life, I’ve always felt whole.
