Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east. And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well's mouth. And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well's mouth in his place.....

Listen to the recital:
Jacob and Rachel: a love story
Your heart shaped face and almond eyes
invite me on a journey to the skies.
That hint of a smile contains
wisdom and secrets, and a delicious heat.
Soft lips beckon, yes I accept the invitation,
you dwell in the space between my heartbeat.
Bewildered by a love so deep, a beauty so rare,
a heart wide open but only a few may enter.
Your name is a prayer, your touch is an answer.
Our lives are a canvas where our dreams
become paintbrushes, giving colour to memories
created by each stroke of prophecy.
Hope is the gift between my ribcage
fluttering out like butterfly kisses.
I saw you at the well, and time stood still.
My heart recognised yours.
Seven years pass in the blink of an eye,
I blink again and you’re still as beautiful
as the day I first saw you,
I’d wait a third set of seven years if I had to.
Because…
I remember the strength of desire,
the taste of two souls mingling
while arms finally rest where they belong.
Your hair cascading
down the side of your face,
each strand in just the right place.
I’ll place a kiss on your nose,
because listening to you breathe
is my favourite song…
In the deepest silence
I can still hear you sing!

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
