Listen to the recital:
Ballade to The Incandescent Roar
The sun rises on the dance floor,
at first a glowing ruby.
It softens—then in an instant—
becomes molten gold.
A yellow disco ball,
casting light to set the tone
for the melody that floods the room.
Shyly, she curtsies,
her ballgown swaying in graceful hands.
Confidently, He bows—
the Lion, yet so tender.
She is dancing with the King,
His loving smile
melts her heart.
Her dearest friend…
Oh, wow.
But this is no waltz—
this is worship.
Her hands rise high,
her hips sway left and right,
caught in the sacred melody
of love and friendship
that floods the room.
A ballerina, she pirouettes;
His eyes aglow with delight.
Her voice lifts to the heavens,
declaring His glory.
The ballad ends
too soon.
She curtsies,
He bows.
They giggle together—
and the sound of their joy
rings eternally.
A bride in training,
daily polished and refined,
ever more and more transformed—
a progress in becoming:
candescere.
The Lion and His fiancée
dance a ballade to
The Incandescent Roar.
