In Memory of our friend Leri Joubert Chen:
In our early years, when we were still known as Ah,Willa!&Friends, Leri recorded poetry and Bible text recitals for our podcast.
In 2024, she chose to focus on completing her teaching degree — her second degree, as she also held a degree in theology — while being a full-time teacher and devoted mom. Because of these commitments, she did not have the time to record more recitals for us.
The plan was for her to read poetry again in 2025, but Leri fell ill and had family matters to attend to. Sadly, her earthly timeline ran out of time. We fondly remember her and are honoured to share her English and Afrikaans recitals here, together with a poem she shared with us.
