WHOLENESS is an acronym
for the basic pillars of wellness
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
Psalm 51:12
Health vs Wellness
Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, while wellness is the active, ongoing pursuit of activities and choices that lead to a holistic state of health. Achieving wellness involves making choices and taking actions in areas like nutrition, exercise, sleep, and social connection to enhance your overall well-being.
Health:
Often considered a goal and defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the absence of disease or infirmity, encompassing physical, mental, and social well-being.
Wellness:
An active process of making choices and taking actions to achieve a state of holistic health. It’s a lifestyle that is not passive but requires individual responsibility.
Pillars of wellness:
There is different ways to present the pillars of wellness. We are going to look at these pillars through the lens of WHOLENESS.
Body • Mind • Soul = the WHOLE,
the one overflows to the other!
Do note that we share about wellness and do not claim to offer cures for anything nor to replace consultation with a medical practitioner. Read about Health vs wellness here.
