He is risen
Indeed, what a glorious day!
Our despair has been turned into joy!
We thought He was dead,
we lost all hope,
how could it be?
But He died
for you and me!
He was crucified!
Our mourning lasted through the night,
maybe even two…
but on day three
He rose
for you and me!
He is risen!
The king, our long-awaited Saviour,
has conquered every sin,
temptation and enslavement,
for you and me!
He is alive!
Sadness may endure for a night,
but Joy comes in the morning!
