He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
Autumn leaf
Waking up this morning;
the sky was way too clear
and the birds singing way louder.
Trees stark naked; as truth.
It surely means that the cold
stares of winter is upon us;
with winds and blizzards
that hit us like shards of glass.
But for now, worrying about that can wait.
Because I know that nakedness
means transparency
and death brings rest…
Dead leaves bring a sabbatical for
the trees to recuperate in the moment;
while removing the shadowy figures
that bring terror by night and hindrance
for a “sun-kissed selfie” of the youngster
in the street by night.
All this has a promise for a new beginning –
a new perspective of earth and everything that is around.
The absence of flowers and green leaves makes
the heart appreciate it more when springtime will be sprung.
With the leaves leaving the tree,
the tree can turn a new leaf…
